COLLABORATIONS
A new detector to measure the beam profile of degraded beams for the HISPEC/DESPEC collaboration at FAIR is being under development at the institute.

ACCELERATOR MASS SPECTROMETRY (AMS)
A new AMS facility will be erected at the Institut for Nuclear Physics of the University of cologne in 2010.
There is also a new open position: Professorship (W3) in Geologie (AMS)

8th AGATA week
From March, 30th to April, 1st 2009 the IKP hosted the 8th AGATA week.

Im Rahmen der BCGS (Bonn-Cologne Graduate School) sprach Prof. R.F. Casten (Yale University, Mercator Professor at Cologne University) vom 15. bis 20. September 2008 über "Single Particle and Collective modes in Atomic Nuclei".

KOLLABORATIONEN
Gemeinsam mit 10 Institutionen aus sechs europäischen Staaten werden im Rahmen der Ancient-Charm-Kollaboration bildgebende Verfahren zur Untersuchung kulturell bedeutsamer Gegenstände (z. B. archäologischer Proben) entwickelt.
